Special Commission for Royal Hospital Chelsea
We are thrilled to share photographs of a recently completed commission of brick pavers for Royal Hospital Chelsea, home of the Chelsea Pensioners and the Chelsea Flower Show.
Royal Hospital Chelsea commissioned the heritage specialists Peregrine Bryant Architects to restore and convert the old stable block into a cafe, museum, shop and visitor facility.
They did an amazing job reflecting the building’s original purpose in a design that created a modern and fully accessible new facility.
We were delighted to be chosen to produce the brick pavers which are used in many areas of the new cafe, museum and education/meeting rooms. We made 13,120 bespoke pavers in Primrose Mild to as closely as possible, match the Dutch Clinker pavers that were discovered buried beneath a concrete slab.
