Hospice Wishing Well Opening

The Wishing Well at St Elizabeth’s Hospice in Ipswich is officially open for wishes.

Built with bricks, donated by WH Collier, the well was created by apprentices from Suffolk New College as a demonstration piece at the Suffolk Show 2025. It was officially opened on 21st January. After the show, the apprentices had to dismantle the well and rebuild it in situ at the hospice.

“The hospice is over the moon with the wishing well” said WH Collier Director, Nikki Lax. “The location in the hospice garden allows residents, staff and visitors to connect really effectively with the well.”

The wishing well was designed by Lloyd Ince (lecturer in construction).
